DIFFERENT TRACK

VIDEO

Different Track Productions produces videos featuring music, related work in other media (visual art, dance, literature), and includes oral history interviews with musicians, artists, and people in the community.

Most of the work can be viewed online for free at Soup & Sound Online, a Vimeo-based platform which currently comprises over 20 videos featuring music, visual art, dance, interviews with musicians and other artists including blood drum spirit, Joseph Daley, Andrew Drury, Sarah Hughes, Dana Jessen, Warren Smith, Fay Victor, Andrea Wolper, to name a few. In addition, DTP has produced video of Bread & Puppet Theater and a video of Oliver Lake’s music performed by the Dance Clarinets. DTP also produces videos for Continuum’s Oral History program.

AUDIO

Different Track Productions produces audio recordings via Different Track Recordings, a record label that puts out physical and digital recordings of studio recordings, live performances in basements and living rooms, field recordings, recordings from communities of “non-professional” musicians, and more.

Many Different Track Recordings items originate from the Soup & Sound series, Continuum Artist Retreats, Continuum’s International Cultural Exchange program, and our community work. Different Track takes an all-encompassing approach: if we consider it worthwhile aesthetically, and fits our mission and capabilities, we try to make it accessible to curious listeners worldwide.
